United Women in Faith

United Methodist Women is the group of women organized for mission.  Each unit has a common purpose–to know God, and to experience freedom as “whole persons through Jesus Christ.”  We hope to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and work in mission through global participation.  An active member is committed to the Purpose, supports the program through prayers, financial contributions, and attending circles and/or monthly meetings.
Our current Circles and meeting times are:
-Abigail:  meeting the 3rd Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church upstairs fellowship hall
-Ruth:  meeting the 3rd Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at United Methodist Church downstairs fellowship hall
-Wesleyan Fellowship:  meeting the 3rd Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Circle members homes
Our monthly General Meeting is the 1st Wednesday September-May at 1:30 p.m. in the upstairs fellowship hall.  The Circles groups meeting September- May also.
Clarkston’s United Methodist Women hold several yearly fundraisers, including dinners, a Fall Bazaar and Luncheon in November, and a Rummage Sale.  We donate over $5,000 each year to local non-profits, such as Snake River Clinic, YWCA, Salvation Army, and to national and international projects.  Currently, we are collecting Yoplait® lids, Box Tops for Education, and used eyeglasses.
